Characteristics of sewage pumps

Sewage pump is a type of centrifugal impurity pump, mainly used for transporting urban sewage, feces, or media containing solid particles such as fibers and paper scraps. Sewage pumps can be divided into submersible and dry types according to their structural forms. Submersible types such as QW submersible sewage pumps, while dry types commonly include W-type horizontal sewage pumps and WL type vertical sewage pumps. According to the material, it can be divided into cast iron pumps, stainless steel pumps, and engineering plastic pumps to adapt to different working environments and media. Sewage pumps have a wide range of applications, used to lift wastewater to subsequent treatment facilities or discharge treated wastewater to designated discharge outlets. They can also send sludge to sedimentation tanks, dewatering machines, and other equipment, or discharge it to designated locations.

The sewage pump operates based on the centrifugal principle. When the motor drives the impeller to rotate at high speed, a low-pressure zone is formed at the center of the impeller. Sewage is sucked into the pump chamber under the action of external atmospheric pressure, and is thrown towards the edge of the impeller by centrifugal force, entering the pump casing flow channel. As the flow channel expands, the water flow velocity decreases, and kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy, ultimately discharged outside the pump.

The characteristic of a sewage pump is its strong discharge capacity, which can effectively pass solid particles. Some sewage pumps with ligament cutting devices can also tear fiber materials to prevent blockage. And the sewage pump operates reliably, using new material mechanical seals to ensure safe operation of the pump, and equipped with fully automatic protection devices to effectively protect against leakage, water leakage, and overload.
