Introduction to Deep Well Pumps
The main feature of a Deep Well Pump is that the motor and the pump are integrated as one unit. It is a type of pump that is submerged in underground water wells to suction and transport water, and it is widely used in farmland irrigation and drainage, industrial and mining enterprises, urban water supply and drainage, and sewage treatment. Since the motor is also submerged in water, its structure requirements are more specialized than those of a regular motor. The motor's structure can be classified into four types: dry, oil-filled, wet, and submersible.
Before starting the Pump, both the suction pipe and the Pump must be filled with liquid. Once the Pump is running, the impeller spins at high speed, and the liquid within rotates along with the blades. Under centrifugal force, the liquid is flung outward from the impeller. The expelled liquid slows down in the Pump casing diffuser, pressure gradually increases, and then it exits through the Pump outlet into the discharge pipe. At this time, a low-pressure vacuum zone is formed at the center of the impeller because the liquid is thrown outward and there’s neither air nor liquid. Liquids in the reservoir, under atmospheric pressure, then flow through the suction pipe into the Pump. This process causes liquid to be continuously drawn from the reservoir and continuously discharged through the pipe.
Basic Parameters
These include flow rate, head, Pump speed, motor power, rated current, efficiency, and outlet diameter, among others.
Components of a Submersible Pump:
It consists of a control cabinet, submersible cable, delivery pipe, submersible electric Pump, and submersible motor.
Applications:
These include emergency rescue in mines, construction dewatering, agricultural irrigation and drainage, industrial water circulation, drinking water supply for urban and rural residents, and even disaster relief.
Classification
In terms of the medium being handled, submersible Pumps can generally be divided into three types: clean water submersible Pumps, sewage submersible Pumps, and seawater submersible Pumps (corrosive).
The QJ-type submersible Pump is a motor-integrated Pump that works submerged in water. It is suitable for drawing groundwater from deep wells, as well as for water-lifting projects from rivers, reservoirs, and canals. It is mainly used for farmland irrigation and water supply for people and livestock in highland areas, and can also supply water for urban, industrial, railway, and construction site drainage needs.
