Overview of Hot Water Pump

A hot water pump is a mechanical device specifically designed to transport hot water (usually at temperatures above room temperature, up to 100 degrees Celsius). Its core function is to drive the impeller to rotate through a motor, converting mechanical energy into pressure and kinetic energy of water, and achieving the circulation, transportation, or pressurization of hot water. Hot water pumps are designed to withstand high temperatures. The pump body, impeller, and other components are made of high-temperature resistant materials (such as stainless steel, cast iron, etc.) and equipped with high-temperature resistant seals to prevent hot water leakage and component damage. They are mainly used in household and commercial heating systems, such as underfloor heating, radiator circulation, domestic hot water supply, and auxiliary circulation of new energy hot water systems such as solar and air energy.

The working process of a hot water pump can be divided into three steps. After the motor is powered on, it starts and drives the impeller inside the pump to rotate at high speed. The rotation of the impeller generates centrifugal force, which throws the hot water inside the pump chamber towards the edge of the impeller, allowing the hot water to obtain kinetic energy and pressure energy. At the outlet of the pump chamber, a high pressure is formed. As the impeller continues to rotate, the hot water is continuously thrown towards the outlet and transported out. At the same time, a low pressure zone is formed at the center of the impeller due to the hot water being thrown out. The cold water (or backflow water) in the system is continuously sucked into the pump chamber under the pressure difference and enters the next cycle.
